If only y’all knew the loopholes we had to go through to pull this shoot off…but GOD!!!

Just to paint a picture for you, this shoot took place during the height of the pandemic. Literally the morning of, the original model casted for this photoshoot texted me saying that it was a strong possibility that she had covid as her mom had just tested positive the night before.

Before I could even respond to her with condolences and remedy suggestions, I was scrolling through my contacts hunting for a replacement (sounds harsh when I say it like that but true enough). To be completely honest I was not prepared to cancel the shoot. Hair & make up was already in place, the location was prepped, the photographer was minutes away from being en route to the location and I had already rented the model’s clothes from the vintage shop days prior.

I was determined to have a successful shoot.

As God would have it, I came across Amber’s contact info & gave her a call. Once it was established that she was available and thankfully less than 10 minutes from the HairStylist’s shop, Amber was able to get her tresses done and catch a ride to the location with Tyree. & The rest was history!

P.S. Once the shoot was salvaged I made sure to send the originally casted model a heartfelt get well soon text.
