Full of Love

Commissioned by Mario Heags of Rioface TV, Courtney designed and constructed a custom set for a dating game show filmed at Fabre Studios. The set was built using 1x2 wood framing, plywood, and black wallpaper to create a bold, studio-ready backdrop that complemented the show’s visual identity. Houston also collaborated with wood specialists from In Da Cutz to fabricate a custom wooden display piece featuring the show’s title, adding a polished focal element to the set.

Office Siren

This immersive graduation themed setting was Designed and executed by Courtney Houston for Shooter’s Society photography studio located on Chicago’s West Side. This design features layered textures, custom props, and a celebratory atmosphere tailored for the graduates of 2025.


Give Them Their Flowers

The installation below is a commissioned piece for Gift of Hope which is a non for profit that promotes the donation of blood amongst the black and brown communities. This artwork was created for the Black Women’s Expo in Chicago during the summer of 2023.


Foiled Fashion

In March 2023, Courtney was commissioned to design and create a custom installation for the mannequin display at The Outfit HQ, a carefully curated fashion boutique and event space located in Bridgeport. The installation transformed the storefront display into a visually engaging fashion moment, enhancing the boutique’s curated aesthetic while drawing attention to featured garments and styling.

Alice in Wonderland

This install made using 3 8x4ft foam boards embellished with whimsical faux grass rug cut outs and metallic construction paper.

Back in the Days

In July 2022, Courtney was commissioned to create a mini set installation for a 70’s-themed summer party hosted at a prominent barbershop in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. The installation was constructed directly onto exposed brick walls using duct tape, transforming the space into a playful, retro-inspired photo backdrop that captured the spirit and aesthetic of the decade while encouraging guest interaction.

Framed

This installation was created in October of 2023 inside the photography studio of TJ Williams using old picture frames, fishing wire, romantic halloween trinkets, spray paint and faux flowers.


Silver linings

Below is an installation that was originally created for a 51st birthday photoshoot (rest peacefully Angie K.). Courtney designed and executed a custom large-scale installation for one of Chicago’s most celebrated cultural festivals in the Hyde Park community, welcoming over 30,000 attendees annually. Developed to create an immersive and highly shareable environment, the installation encouraged audience interaction while enhancing the visual energy of the event. The piece has been featured at multiple high-profile activations, including the 2023 Silver Room Block Party, a guerrilla marketing display during the Renaissance World Tour by Beyoncé, and the 10-year anniversary celebration for CTA x Venture.

Grass is Greener

This massive installation was created in May of 2023 on the 5th floor of the Bridgeport Artist Lofts. Standing at approximately 13ft with a width of 8ft, this simplistic yet striking exhibit was constructed using three 5ft x7ft faux grass rugs.


Best of Both Worlds

The install below displays the juxtaposition of two colliding design styles which were constructed using only adhesive wallpaper and molding in October of 2023.


Love Letters

The clip below shows Courtdinate’s installation being displayed at the Silver Room Block Party’s annual festival in 2022. The theme for that year’s Design Pavilion was “Back Together Again” .
